Presentation Overview:  

Cost estimation for closure aims to capture all the actual expenditures required to close down a mine site (i.e. studies, decommissioning, rehabilitation, maintenance, monitoring and relinquishment). A number of different cost estimate types and methods are utilised in the industry to achieve the financial assurances required. This presentation will cover the types and methods for closure cost estimation, as well as associated processes (such as range analyses, escalation, contingency planning etc.), critical success factors and opportunities for improvement.

1619491581305Vanja has over 18 years’ experience within the closure, construction, resources and government sectors in WA, across all aspects of project management, environment, sustainability and safety. Previously Vanja held roles as an Environmental / Sustainability Lead, whilst more recently she has pivoted to Project / Study Management roles across multiple closure projects. She has successfully delivered estimates with capital cost of over $6B.
